Nests in trees

Come take a look at trees in winter around where I live. The first photo was taken today at Campion Trail, a ten-minute walk from my place.

The knots (one per tree) are empty nests made visible by leaf fall.

Last weekend I took similar pictures of Bradford pears at the southwest corner of Valley Ranch Parkway and Cimarron Trail in Irving. Many more nests in this set.
